Increase Growth Hormone Naturally

More and more people are spending hundreds to even thousands of dollars per month to take human growth hormone (hgh) in an attempt to turn back time on their biologic clocks. There are a number of things you can do to boost your growth hormone levels naturally. I will start with the amino acids known to help your pituitary gland kick out more of this precious anti-aging hormone. 1) Glutamine- 3-5 grams twice per day first thing in the morning and last thing before bed preferably on a empty stomach. This is the most abundant amino acid in your body. It also helps workout recovery so taking it after workouts can also be beneficial. It helps increase protein synthesis and decreases protein breakdown. It is important in promoting gastrointestinal health and improving immune function. 2) Arginine- it is also important in cardiovascular health. Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide which mediates penile erection, so it can help with sexual performance. 3) Lysine- also important in growth and development and energy production. It can help decrease risk of osteoporosis. 4) Glycine- also has anti-inflammatory effects. 5) GABA- can also help improve mood, decrease anxiety and promote relaxation. 6) Leucine- helps muscle protein anabolism, increases strength, and spares muscle loss during voluntary weight loss (dieting).

One of the most important things that can help in dramatically increasing growth hormone production are intense weight training (check with your medical doctor before engaging in intense physical activity). Other things that may help with hgh production are systematic under-eating, limiting carbohydrate intake especially later in the day & before bedtime and insuring sound sleep. Growth hormone production spikes with deep sleep, so taking a power nap in the afternoon (if able) can give an extra hgh boost.

Does meditation boost growth hormone? Any downside to meditating?

Thanks,

I have not seen anything that specifically talks about effect of meditation of GH, but I have read that long term meditators have a lower biologic age based the biological aging markers. There are many ways to meditate, but basically the premise is to pick an object of focus (such as a word, short phrase, the breath) and keep bringing your attention back to that object of attention when distractions arise in your mind. This allows your brain waves to slow down and your thoughts to quiet so you can experience a more peaceful mind and dissipate stress. I think meditation is a great way to start the day and a good thing to incorporate into your life.
